Give and it Will Be Given to You

Pastor Jim wrapped up our sermon series on Rockland’s core values on November 4 by teaching on value #4: “Give”.

Often, this is a topic that people don’t care to hear about in church and yet Jesus taught about it extensively. We suppose he had a good reason for doing so. When it came to teaching about giving, this is one of the things Jesus said:

“GIVE and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down,
shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap.
For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” (Luke 6:38)

Everything we have comes from God. He asks that we give sacrificially, and joyfully. If we take Jesus at his word, then we should be the most generous of all people, confident that we will never out-give God!

Our church family, as any healthy family, must budget, cover our expenses, live within our means and give as much as we can. Please help us by supporting our stewardship campaign. Remember, we are the family of God. Put Him first, do your part, and watch for blessings to be poured out on you and our church family!

God has blessed Rockland in so many ways including giving us a wonderful pastor and clarity on our vision and values. We hope you will take the opportunity to get involved in our four values: Worship, Connect, Serve and Give. We ask you to step out in faith and make a generous investment and sacrifice with joy!

Please return your 2017 Pledge Commitment to the church by December 11. This is important so we can complete our budgeting process before the end of the year.

We can’t wait to see what God has in store for Rockland in 2017 through your generosity!
