He who created them from the beginning made them male and female said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’. So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”
As pastors and elders of Rockland Community Church, we are called to shepherd the membership and regular attendees of our church to a deeper walk with Jesus Christ. One of the greatest experiences of shepherding people in the faith includes an event which marks the beginning of a most important relationship: Christian Marriage.
Therefore, we gladly and excitedly welcome our members, regular attendees, their immediate family members and those individuals who grew up in the life of our church to be married at Rockland by one of our pastors. Individuals should be regularly attending Rockland or members for at least 6 months prior to booking a wedding.
Since we do not want to just prepare you for a wedding, but also for a marriage, we require the couple to meet with the presiding pastor 3 times before the wedding. In addition, if the pastor performing the wedding is outside our Rockland Community Church, that pastor must be approved by Rockland.
*Please note, we no longer hold weddings for individuals who are not associated with our church.
