We believe in putting our faith into action—showing God's grace to all people through local outreach and global missions. So as you take part in Rockland's united contributions, prayers, participation, and love, these ministries become yours.
Serve With Us
We believe that the Gospel comes to life in word and deed through our relationships with one another and with those we serve. So as you discover the partners and opportunities on this page, you're invited to join us. Our most immediate opportunities are always listed on our Serve blog, so you can visit there too.
We organize several opportunities throughout the year to encourage involvement in local ministries, including these partner organizations:
Mean Street Ministry was born out of the vision of a few people who saw the unaddressed need to help the homeless, and ultimately to help these families get into their own apartments. Denver's homeless population has grown and transformed as a result of the increasing cost of living. Now alongside the usual issues of alcoholics, drug addicts, prostitutes, and the mentally ill, are working families who simply cannot afford the cost of a safe place to live. Mean Street has always reached out to the people on the streets and as they have changed so have we. Our Sojourners program and Family Shelter, specifically, have grown out of this changing population to address their needs. We continue to reach out to the lost and hurting in the name of Christ. 303.232.2500
Loaves and Fishes is a faith-based, ecumenical ministry supported by the area churches whose purpose is: to bring glory to God by providing food and other assistance to those in need. Loaves & Fishes has set its course toward becoming a dependable resource for people needing assistance for food and other commodities for anyone in need who lives in Clear Creek or Gilpin counties. The ministry also offers GED tutoring, health and human services, Bible study, and prayer. 303.567.4450
